The Euskalduna Conference Centre and Concert Hall, which was designed by architects Federico Soriano and Dolores Palacio, was opened in February 1999. The building symbolises the last boat built in the former Euskalduna shipyard.

This huge, multipurpose complex has a surface area of 53,000 m² and is able to stage the local opera season, symphony concerts, ballets and recitals simultaneously with major conferences, board meetings, general assemblies, conventions and business meetings.
