The Europa Palace was the first congress center to open in the Basque Country and it is an icon of sustainable architecture. It is strategically located in one of the main streets of Vitoria-Gasteiz, very well linked to the railway station, with tram and bus stops, and just a 10 minute walk to the bus station. It is also near some of the main hotels of the city, the town center and the Historic Quarters.

After a recent eco-architectonic remodeling, the building has been awarded the LEED Gold certification of the U.S. Green Building Council. Its modern, spacious and versatile rooms have seen their operational capacity increased: they can now hold more than 20 working groups in over 17 rooms and auditoriums. And outside, a vertical garden covers the Palace’s façade: almost 1.500 m2 of vegetation that improve the insulation in a 75%, resulting in energy saving.

It all turns the Europa Congress Palace into the suitable place for any kind of congress, especially when it comes to sustainable ones. They would be celebrated in a city, Vitoria-Gasteiz, named European Green Capital in 2012.
