Palma, the new destination for congresses in the Mediterranean.

The Palau de Congressos de Palma, the new and most modern convention center in the Mediterranean, stands on the best location of Mallorca, next to the capital's promenade, just 15 minutes walking from the historic center and 8 minutes from the international airport, which offers connections to the main European cities.

Unique architecture: the structure of this building was conceived by Patxi Mangado, an internationally renowned architect from Navarra who defines himself as a man in love with the light of Mallorca and the Mediterranean. His latest prize was the 2017 Art Award granted by the Academy of Arts of Berlin which acknowledges his trajectory as an architect and spotlights projects such as the complex formed by the congress center Palau de Congressos of Palma and the hotel Meliá Palma Bay, among others.

This convention center, managed by Meliá Hotels International, was opened in April 2017 and during that same year it received more than 30,000 attendees. Thanks to its efficient, sustainable and innovative design, it has been awarded with the highest architecture award in Spain. The materials used in the construction of the building are remarkable helping  it to be a sustainable building. The convention center  offers two magnificent auditoriums with excellent acoustic  with capacity for 1966 and 471 people respectively, fully equipped with the latest technology to host different events such as concerts and shows, as well as congresses. This building also has a large exhibition hall of 2,340 m2 facing the sea which is ideal to host events of great magnitude such as fairs and car launches. It also offers a wide variety of fully functional meeting rooms of different sizes and an imposing terrace on the third floor of more than 600 m2 overlooking the Bay of Palma.  In addition, this building provides accessible parking facilities with 268 places and a spacious area of 1.050 m2 which has been created to offer its clients  logistic and storage services.   

Pursuing the strategy of Meliá Hotel International, the Congress Center is committed to environmental responsibility and take the steps to reinforce this commitment. A good example of this is the process in which this convention center is currently fully involved in the removal of single-use plastics from all their facilities and supply chains replacing them with reusable materials. This action is an additional step in the fight against the climate change.
