Spanish conference centres injected €1,300 million into the Spanish economy in 2014
The latest activity report published by the Spanish Association of Conference Centres (APCE) reveals that its member venues held a total of 4,632 events and welcomed 3,930,018 visitors in 2014, generating an economic impact for their cities of around €1,300 million.

The catalysing role of conference centres and their business model under discussion at the 12th APCE Congress
The national congress of the Spanish Association of Conference Centres (APCE) gets underway today until 4th July at the Navarre Conference Centre and Auditorium (Baluarte). The member centres continue to support this annual event, which this year will be attended by 60 participants from 25 venues across Spain, and is entitled “Time for reflection”, and is based on a more open, plural, and interactive format.

In 2013, the member venues of the Spanish Association of Conference Centres (APCE) held a total of 4,682 events and welcomed 3,880,987 visitors. These activities generated an economic impact of around €1,200 million.

The 11th APCE Congress highlights the keys to Spain’s leading international position
The 11th Spanish Association of Conference Centres (APCE) Congress, held on 17th and 18th July at the Euskalduna Conference Centre and Concert Hall in Bilbao, and entitled “A time of challenges and opportunities”, marked the end of a cycle of almost 15 years in which the APCE has promoted meetings between the managers of the major Spanish conference centres to create a forum for innovation, internationalisation and the development of new trends in the meeting tourism industry.

Spanish conference centres sound out the event tourism market at their 10th Congress
On 12th-13th July, the heads of 27 Spanish conference centres met up at the Castile and Leon Conference Centre in Salamanca to celebrate their 10th Annual APCE Congress. This event rounded off a decade of meetings which have brought together almost 500 delegates since 2003.
